About
Dr. Pradip Kumar has more than twenty years of post-graduate experience in Paediatric and Neonatal Disease Management, and has nine years of experience as a Specialist Paediatrician in the UAE. Dr. Pradip Kumar graduated from Coimbatore Medical College, India, and attained his post graduate degree in Paediatrics from Calcutta National Medical College, India. Thereafter, he attained his MRCPCH degree from The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London, UK. He then worked as a Specialist Paediatrician in private hospitals and multispeciality clinics in Kolkata, then in government service at Maternity and Children Hospital (a teaching and referral centre in eastern KSA), Saudi Arabia, for ten years in the Newborn Care Unit (NICU) and Paediatric Department. Afterwards, he joined the MOH in the UAE as a Specialist Paediatrician, worked in the Neonatal and Paediatric Department for one year at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah, and then worked for the government in the prestigious Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital, UAE, working simultaneously in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Department, for a total of eight years. He received the “Best Pediatric Practitioner of the Year” Award in 2019, at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, and has experience teaching there as well. His areas of interest are newborn care and Paediatric case management. He speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, and also understands Malayalam.
